Practitioner vs. Partner: Which Path is Right for You?

Schneider Axiom Institute — Two Ways to Work With SAI
Practitioner vs. Partner: Which Path Is Right for You?
Two ways to work with the Schneider Axiom Institute. Both serve business owners. Both generate income. They work very differently.
The Schneider Axiom Institute offers two distinct paths for professionals who want to help business owners identify and resolve the structural constraints limiting their performance. One path is for professionals who want to deliver the methodology directly to clients. The other is for professionals who want to refer clients and earn compensation without doing the diagnostic work themselves.
This page explains the difference precisely — so you can choose the path that fits your goals, your practice, and your relationship with the business owners you serve.
The Core Difference
Two Paths. One Methodology.
| What You Are Evaluating | Path One — Practitioner | Path Two — Partner |
|---|---|---|
| Your role | You diagnose and resolve constraints directly for clients | You refer clients to SAI and earn commission |
| Who does the work | You | SAI |
| Certification required | Yes — CAS ($1,997) or CAE ($4,997) | No — free to apply |
| How you earn | Client fees — you set your own rates | Commission — 25% on diagnostics, 20% on credentials |
| Earning potential per engagement | Market rates — you negotiate directly | $22.25 – $999.40 per referral |
| Best for | Consultants, fractional executives, and advisors who want to deliver constraint resolution as a core service | Advisors, coaches, accountants, and professionals who serve business owners and want to add value without adding workload |
| Can you do both | Yes — CAS and CAE graduates are automatically eligible for the Partner program | |
Path One
Become a Practitioner
Serve Clients Directly Through the Referral Network
Practitioners are certified professionals who diagnose and resolve constraints for clients — not just refer them. When a business owner contacts the Schneider Axiom Institute seeking hands-on advisory support, we match them with a certified practitioner from the referral network. You conduct the engagement, deliver the results, and keep the income.
What Practitioners Do
✓ Diagnose governing constraints in client businesses using the SAI methodology
✓ Develop resolution plans and guide implementation
✓ Advise executives and leadership teams on structural constraint resolution
✓ Build ongoing advisory relationships grounded in a credentialed methodology
Requirements
✓ CAS certification ($1,997) or CAE certification ($4,997)
✓ Demonstrated competence through coursework and assessment
✓ Agreement to uphold SAI professional and ethical standards
How You Earn — You Set Your Own Fees
You negotiate directly with clients. SAI does not take a commission on practitioner engagements.
Important: The fee ranges below reflect typical market rates for constraint advisory engagements across the consulting industry. They are provided for reference only. SAI makes no guarantee of income, client volume, or engagement frequency through the Practitioner Referral Network. Your earnings will depend entirely on your own practice development, client relationships, and market positioning.
Typical Market Fee Ranges for Constraint Advisory Work
Practitioners set their own rates. These figures are illustrative market benchmarks — not SAI income projections.
Path One Is Best For
→ Consultants who want to deliver constraint resolution as a core service
→ Fractional executives who want a systematic diagnostic framework
→ Advisors who want to command premium fees based on methodology
→ Professionals building a practice around constraint resolution

Path Two
Become a Strategic Advisory Partner
Refer Clients and Earn Compensation
Strategic Advisory Partners recommend SAI products to their clients, contacts, and audiences — and earn commission on every sale. You do not deliver the service. SAI does. You make the recommendation and earn your commission.
What Partners Do
✓ Recommend the $89 Business Constraint Diagnostic to clients who are stuck
✓ Refer business owners to FDC, CAS, or CAE when appropriate
✓ Share SAI resources with their professional network
✓ Use provided marketing assets to communicate value to their audience
Requirements
✓ Established client base, professional network, or audience of business owners
✓ Application approval — free to apply
✗ No certification required
Your Commission Structure
| Product | Price | Your Rate | You Earn |
|---|---|---|---|
| $89 Business Constraint Diagnostic | $89 | 25% | $22.25 |
| FDC — Foundational Diagnostic Credential | $697 | 20% | $139.40 |
| CAS — Certified Axiom Strategist | $1,997 | 20% | $399.40 |
| CAE — Certified Axiom Executive | $4,997 | 20% | $999.40 |
Commissions paid monthly via PayPal — $50 minimum balance — 45 days after receipt. 60-day referral cookie window.
Note on the FDC: Partners earn commission on all four products above, including the FDC. However, the FDC does not qualify for Practitioner Referral Network listing — CAS or CAE certification is required to receive client referrals through the Practitioner Network. If you hold the FDC and want to be listed in the network, the CAS is the next credential step.
Path Two Is Best For
→ Advisors who serve business owners and want to add value without adding workload
→ Coaches and consultants who encounter constraint issues but prefer not to diagnose themselves
→ Authors, speakers, and influencers with audiences of business owners
→ Accountants, financial advisors, and professionals who see symptoms but do not diagnose them

Can I Do Both?
Yes. Many Professionals Participate in Both Programs.
CAS and CAE graduates are automatically eligible for the Strategic Advisory Partner Program. This means you can serve clients directly through the Practitioner Referral Network — earning client fees — while simultaneously referring clients who are not ready for a full engagement to the $89 Business Constraint Diagnostic, earning referral commission on every purchase they make.
How It Works in Practice
A CAS-certified consultant meets a business owner who is not ready for a full engagement. Instead of losing the relationship, she recommends the $89 Business Constraint Diagnostic. The business owner gets a written finding in 72 hours. The consultant earns $22.25. When the owner is ready for deeper advisory work, the consultant is positioned to deliver it — or refer them to the Practitioner Network and earn $399.40 if the owner decides to pursue the CAS credential themselves.
Consider what a single active month can produce: a full client engagement at a market rate, two diagnostic referrals at $22.25 each, and one colleague who enrolled in the CAS at $399.40. Three income streams. One credential. One methodology. The two paths do not compete — they compound.
Two paths. Maximum flexibility. Multiple income streams.
